Shooting Technique / Form

Purpose, Potential, Process, and Perspective. Leadership begins and ends with integrity – our character reflects our values and habits of practice.

Utility Player

Intellectual Athlete provides universal frameworks and principles that can be adapted to different situations and areas of life.

Ingredients of Your Game

Strategic clarity between your internal and external world. Our approach is 90/10 which begins in the mind and building foundations from there.

Quality for Clarity

Knowing where you’re going isn’t as important as your why. Being too focused on the outcome takes away from the learnings on the journey.

Playing Experience

Winning has been a theme at every stage: from high school to college to pro I have been a champion. With experience playing every role, from bench player to number one option, becoming irreplaceable because of my ability to read, react, and think strategically under pressure. My career was full of moments of failure, injuries, traveling to different continents to live and play. Basketball was a vehicle for me to experience the world and grow as a person. Basketball has become the language that helps me communicate, and a key metaphor for learning, implementing, and understanding systems. I thrive in a teaching capacity, providing key insights and detail that empower players to understand how to improve beyond training by having tools to self-correct and adapt in real time. What you learn can translate to any aspect of life and vice versa.

Meet Your Coach - Greg Plater

Greg has always thought of sport as a means to express his personality, seeing the court as a canvas and his body as a brush that paints a picture. Each time being the chance to create a new beautiful work of art infused with rhythm and flow. He’s never been the stereotypical athlete but more of an out of the box thinker who can creatively solve problems through the process of play with intention (Practice Mode). By empowering others to unlock their inner-potential, he can find joy in leading by example – continuing impact on and off the court. When our souls are free we can find magic and meaning in any medium.

  • "Greg Plater is filled with enough energy to power the sun, enough passion to power the stars, enough wisdom to carry the moon, and enough heartfelt care to keep the earth spinning for humanity. With the clarity of a seasoned veteran and the wonder for discovery of the secrets of the world, Greg Plater reveals bold new perspectives for life enhancement delivered in digestible portions and steps. Through physical and mental exercises, his high level experience in the high-octane, highly strategic world of international basketball shows up in how he organizes his lesson plans and helps others execute their visions with precision and room for team work."

    Jason E.C. Wright (Research/Education, Design)

  • "During our careers we meet many people along the way, sometimes they are our bosses or peers, sometimes they are competitors, occasionally you meet someone randomly that inspires you. Greg is one of those people for me. Greg is creative, thoughtful and very focused on helping others while also seeing his future value add clearly. Greg is an artist and a thinker and as a former top tier athlete he knows how to focus like a laser. What strikes me most is Greg's ability to clearly see opportunities that abound around all of us. Greg is at the beginning of what I predict will be a very long and successful career at the nexus of creativity and value creation. If you have a chance to work with Greg be sure and tap into his creativity and his intelligence then just let him fly, you will be glad you did."

Dion Lisle (Ventures | Innovation | FinTech | Startup Advisor)

  • "I'd give coach Greg 6 stars if I could. As a senior in HS and going on to play D1 next year, my daughter has worked out with a wide variety of coaches over the years. But Greg is really special. He understands the game on an intricate and organic level and goes the extra mile to push when pushing is called for. He should be a professional coach somewhere because his understanding of the players he coaches is truly unique."

    Parent of UPenn WBB Alum

  • "Greg's leadership skills are grounded in worldly empathy, emotional intelligence, and critical thinking. Working collaboratively with him on several projects over the years, I have always felt understood, seen, and challenged to produce my best work. He has a unique ability to elevate ideas, pursue clarity, and guide intention to achieve meaningful outcomes. If ideas are water, Greg is a well; accessing deep flows of natural creativity. Working with him has always felt creatively invigorating. He's a true leader who amplifies and empowers those around him, and he brings a fearless creativity to all projects we work on together."
